what is the probelm with me!?!?!?!?!? my frinds all listen to stuff like the jonas brother and patd and they love those bands!. but i love the band metallica they are all i listen to almost!. i am listening to sad but true right now!. i love that song and all their songs!. i also like other bands like tool nightwish and anterior!. but my friends dont like those bands and they suddently stop being my frinds now cuz i lisetn to the music i want to listen to instead of what they like!. should i findd new friends or keep my friends and start listening to diff bands!? tyWww@Enter-QA@Com

Alot of the people i grew up with listen to rap/reggae etc, i listen to metal!. They respect what i listen to because we enjoy doing other things together, like drinking/watchingsports, just generally hanging out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you friends are going to drop you because of the music you listen to, I'd say you've got some pretty shallow friends! I mean, it's one thing if you're the only one with a car, and you crank And Justice For All up to 10 on the volume when you're all headed off to the mall, but for arguements sake!.!.!. My friends and I have a couple bands in common but then i listen to my own music too!. Obviously they weren't your REAL friends - I mean, my mom and my stepdad have been married for 10 years!. My stepdad likes heavy metal, and my mom likes 80s dance pop!. XD But obviously they love each other for EACH OTHER, not because of their music tastes!.

So, this happened to me too!. My friends listened to Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco, when I used to listen to them, but later thought they were overrated and sucked!. What I did was still be friends with them, but find other friends that have the same taste in music as me!. I went to concerts and shows and met up with people that liked the same music!.
So to answer your question!.!. do what I did - if you're comfortable with it!.
