id go with the thunderbird, it probly is a little more but
the epiphone les paul specials (bass or guitar) are made with cheaper parts and im not saying they are decent instruments but you will find better quality in craftsmanship and hardware with the thunderbirdWww@Enter-QA@Com

Well,I can't really speak for the Les Paul,but it looks like it has more of a Guitarist Appeal!.And Iv'e played the Sixxbird,which is a great bass!.

I personally, would go with the Thunderbird!. The pick-ups are better!. Plus, I've never been a Les Paul fan!. I've played several Les Paul's!. I've never liked them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
