Should i worry about the guitars middle pickup getting in my way of soloing?!

Question: Should i worry about the guitars middle pickup getting in my way of soloing!?
i currently have a squire strat and ive noticed that when soloing the metal magnets in the middle pickup get in my way because they are oddly raised so when i pluck the pick bumps into it!. i want to get this guitar but im worried about that middle pickup getting in my way!.
also i cannot try it out because guitar center does not have it in their local store!.

Given the number of soloing guitarists using Strats I don't think you have anything to worry about :)
Most likely you either need to change your picking (sounds like you extend the pick too far between the strings) or as suggested lower the pickup!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You could either lower the middle pickup, or do what I did and take the middle p-up out completely so it just has one on the bridge/neck!. I never found myself using the middle anyway, so that made my decisions easier!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i dont think you should worry!. if it does get in the way though, you can always trade it in or return it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

you could try lowering the middle pickup so it sits lower in the guitar body!. there should be 2 screws on either end of the p/up to adjust its heightWww@Enter-QA@Com
