Yea, Neil Young is a tool!. He comes to America and makes his money and doesn't become a citizen!. Then to top it all off he thinks he has the credibility to come to America bash our politics, country, etc and not even be a citizen!.

When I look at Neil Young and his career, I can't say that I love him or hate him, because at times he has shown me what a mastermind he is, and other times what a total hack he is!.
His early work is great!. Buffalo Springfield,CSNY, and his early solo stuff, show his talent as a song writer, and versatility as a musician!.
His disenfranchisement of the music industry and system is applaud-able, even though the net result was not something to be musically enjoyed!. Trans ( early 80's) was a perfect example of this!. When I first heard music from that album, my first thought was that he made that album to piss off the record company!. I applaud him for being so revolutionary, but the end result was total crap!. For the most part I would have to say that Trans was probably inspired by Lou Reeds album Metal music machine, more or less just noise!.
Neil Youngs talent and ability to make raw sounding music gave him the nickname the God father of grunge!. He can play nice acoustic melodies or raw hard sounding electric!.
