Claude King (e on the end of his name, might be why you can't find anything) is still alive, in good health (despite being declared dead in an early edition of a country music encyclopedia!), and I believe he still performs!. I certainly hope so -- we need our classic performers out there making good music!
Claude was managed by the late Tillman Franks, who also played bass for him (of course, Franks played bass for darn near everyone who played on the Louisiana Hayride)!. You might want to check out Tillman Franks' book for great stories about Claude (especially when Claude covered a Johnny Horton song)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
