Spanish to english?!

Question: Spanish to english!?
I am working on a dance routine to the song "Dios es Alegre" by Aline Barrios!. But there is one line I'm not quite sure what it means!.

It says - él levanta al abatido
abatido means shot!.

I understand every part of this song but that line!.
Here are the lyrics:

Nuestro Dios es Dios alegre
Mi Dios es alegre
Sofonías 3:17 me dice que él se regocija en mí (2 vcs)

él consuela al que lloran
su ayuda no demora
él abraza al rechazado y lo trae a su lado para dar su amor
EL LEVANTA AL ABATIDO
restaura al alma del herido
al exaltar el loor del pueblo que busca conocer al Se?or

all and any help is appreciated :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Levantar is lift, and abatido is, assuming its an adjective and not another verb, means depressed/dejected/miserable/low etc!.

If it were a verb, coming from abatir, it would mean demolish, shot, etc!. But that doesn't make much sense!.!.!.

I didn't translate the rest of the song, so I'm not sure if this is right and fits in but!.!.!.

Literally it means "the lifting to the depressed"!. But, I think I'd take it more as "The lifting of the low" or something similar!. It means to make someone happy!.

I hope that's right! Good luck with your dance!.

ETA: The person above me sounds more correct, since they translated the entire thing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm 99!.9% sure it means "He lifts the shot"Www@Enter-QA@Com
