If you like a mix of older stuff and new stuff (which it looks like you do) I find Wolfmother to be a really awesome and time-transcending band!. They're like a 70's rock band today!. You've probably heard some of their stuff, but sit down and listen to their whole album once or twice!. It's amazing!.
