Well Garth Brooks has sold more solo albums than anyone else in country music history according to the RIAA!. Not to mention his incredible numbers for concert attendance!.
(Too bad he's retired now!.)
However, George Strait has has more #1 hit songs than anyone else!.
If you're looking for newcomers, I would say that Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are at the top of the list!. They have developed fans and airplay in multiple genres aside from just country!. This is usually a characteristic of someone who will go beyond superstar status and will become a megastar!. Carrie has already been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, so if she quits today, she would go in the record books for years to come!. There is so much great country music out there that it's certainly hard to chose a tiny group!.

I have to say Tim McGraw and Keith Urban are still some of the best, they seem to be able to put out songs that people want to hear!.
As for people who rock in concert- Brooks and Dunn are amazing and I LOVE Chris Cagle in concert!. Mark Wills was great and Terri Clark is awesome!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
