what's ironic about this question is that, despite their completely different playing styles, they can be compared by their guitar technique!.!.!. in a relatively recent issue of Guitar World magazine, they had a list of the best guitar solos of all time, and Hendrix and Gilmour occupied the top two spots, for "Machine Gun" and "Comfortably Numb," respectively!.

That is a stupid question!.!.!.!.their totally different playing styles!. David Gillmore and Jimi are probably about equal in technical skill and composition!. Their both amazing live!. Their both innovators!.

This is a really stupid question because Pink Floyd is a band and Jimi Hendrix is more of a solo artist, so it's like comparing apples to oranges! I love them both but I like Pink Floyd a little more because there albums are pure masterpieces!Www@Enter-QA@Com
That's kind of like saying - which one is better an apple or an orange!? Jimi was no doubt a master guitar player, and Roger Waters and David Gilmour were also talented, but their music styles differed greatly!. I like both, but not for the same reasons!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
