those bands can certainly be considered as more modern metal!. i think too many people here are older and stuck in their times from back in the day when they were teenagers!. i think most older people would say that they arent metal, unless they can open their minds and realize that everything changes in time!. but yes, those bands without a doubt can be considered modern metal!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
uh, okay alotta people are gonna disagree with you!. I think A7X is not metal, I think Avenged Sevenfold WANT to be metal!.
For Bullet For My Valentine, hmmm!.!.!.I'm not gonna totally disregard them, but I think they have like hints of metal!. I love Bullet For My Valentine, but I'm gonna be honest, they are metalcore, and usually metalcore is heavier than what they are being!. So I wouldn't classify them as metalcore!. I think they are rock, with influences from metal, alot of influences from metal, but they are not pure metal, nor are they metalcore in my opinion because they aren't as heavy as other metalcore bands!.
I think you just WANT them to be metal, because you wanna know that you listen to metal!. I'll post links of some metal bands and they should help clear things up for what bands are metal and what bands only have traces of metal!.

Avenged Sevenfold can either be classed as Hard Rock or Metal!. I think their earlier stuff is Metal, whilest their newer stuff is probably Hard Rock!.

No, they're over-produced emo bands that play solos, so they get labeled as metal!. True metal bands usually have little to no attention in the public eye!. It's meant to be underground!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
