Deff Story telling!.!.!.!.

Rappers nowadays rap about a whole lotta NOTHING!

Its funny that you said that though because I was just arguing with some1 about that same subject!.!.!.

I loved how pac spoke about issues in the world like in Changes and Keep ya head up!.!.!.

But now!.!.!.lil wayne raps about licking like a lollipopWww@Enter-QA@Com

Hip Hop is missing the struggle!. Most new rap doesn't get raw and real like it used to!. I think people that say they don't want to hear about guns, drugs, hustling, etc need to really stop listening to rap!. That's what I want to hear more of because I think rap is really about the fight and the struggle and hard times, and that's what those topics are all about!. Hard azz times, and if you can't relate then you can't relate and you should try a new genre of music if it bothers you so much!. I do also love story tellers but did you know that Jim Jones is actually a great story teller!? Yeah I always slept on him because I didn't really like Cam and the Dipset but he can tell a very very deep story!. Same for Jigga and Scarface!. They are both story tellers who are still living today!. But I can appreciate that too!. I just think hip hop is missing it's dirty, gritty, raw, real side and is more about children and children's topics now, because products aimed at children sell!. That's why Soulja Boy does so well - for the same reason Raven Simone does!. Because parents of all races try to get their kids whatever they want, and right now the kids want Soulja Boy!. I just think rap needs to grow up a little bit and also stop trying to cover up the fact that ****@s be poor when they first get on and shouldn't pretend like they've been sellin bricks when really it's actually been 50 blocks lol!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with you on both the storytelling aspect and the creative aspect, but I think Hip-Hop now is also lacking that energy that it had in the 90's and before!. Now all rappers care about is making money off it, so they dont really put themselves behind the music and it is just lacking in energy!. If you listened to any old school rapper, they were rapping because they wanted to first, and to make money second, and you can really see the difference in energy because those guys were really putting themselves into the musicWww@Enter-QA@Com

It's missing heart!.

there's very FEW artist who stick to their style they completely sell out all to make money!.

Obviously were outweighted about are opinon!.

But pretty soon that'll change!. But Anyways back to the subject a perfect example you heard of Cuban Link from the Terror Squad I heard him on some songs I was like Holy **** this guys good!. But he's trying too hard to make club hits which end up awful!.

Fat Joe is another example I'll admit I never liked Fat Joe Always thought hed be a follower and was nothing special!.

But when he was with Pun I gave him a 5!.5/10
Now I give em a 2!.5/10

Hip Hop will Never die thoe it'll only die when all the old artist who we like stop making music and die!. Hip Hop right now is more like a pause!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

true MC's
EDIT - I know what u are saying but all the true rappers that are underground need to be mainstream to be really recognized!. i know they can't really do much about it but that is what i would like to see hip hop like!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree, Producers are more concerned with pushing a banger for the club!. Artists are abandoning the lyrical skills that the founders of Hip Hop layed the groundwork for!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah hip hop anit what it used 2 be!. Nowadays, dudes are rapping about drugs money, cars, sex, women, alcohol, clubbin'!.You just can't find that good ol'80's- 90's hip-hop storytelling anymore!.!.!. *sigh*Www@Enter-QA@Com

it's missing a lot!. and yeah that storytelling was good!. i haven't heard any of that in a while!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The rappers that died or retired!.!.!.!. Nas, 2pac, biggie, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It has lost its "soul"!. It is now all about the glitz and gloss!. It has become more and more about the image and less and less about the music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
