What position is easier to play in a band?!

Question: What position is easier to play in a band!?
rhythm guitar or bass!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Commonly the bass is seen as an 'easier version of guitar'!.!.!.!.!.because it only (commonly) has four strings!. This is incorrect!. To be a competent 'bassist' requires just as much skill and practice as the guitar!. It is true that most people who can play guitar, can 'get by' on bass, just playing root notes and some runs!. That does not make you a bassist though!. Bass has it's own set of rules and theories, and plays a different role in a band compared to guitar!. So, to be good at either one requires the same amount of effort if taken seriously!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well personally i think bass, but this all depends on what you are play say you are playing jazz of blues there is more bass and you can tell that the bass is there and most of the time bass has big boots to fill!.

If you are talking about new music like corporation band (Jonas bros,Hannah Montana, fall out boy) that make music just for money and nothing else!. that is all the rhythm guitar!. The bass is not well worked in these songs!.

It shouldn't be what is the easiest to play but what you like playing!. If you don't like what you play your shouldn't play it at all!. Sorry i went on for so long but that is how i feel and any other music lover will tell you!.

The easiest position is!.!.!. shortstop! Oh, sorry!. Wrong sport!. There's no easy answer to that!. If you're trying to decide which you'd find easier, my advice is to just go to a music store and try a little of each and see what feels more natural!. In my band, the guitarist sucks at bass, just as the bassist is a terrible guitarist!. And neither of them have a clue on keyboards, but that's the one I find easy, while I can't play a single song on bass or guitar!. It really all depends on the individual!.

on a side note, what do you call someone who hangs out with musicians but isn't one!? A drummer! No offense to any drummers out there, of course!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well it depends because you can have different aptitudes about in the instrumental part or you could be a vocalist!.
the guitar depend on the position and style in which you play!.
the drumms need coordination and energy!.
the bass guitar needs agility but singing is the most easier part you only have to memorize the lyrics!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

in my band, i would probably have to say bass!.
i'm the lead guitarist, but i would much rather be doing bass than playing the guitar!.!. however, it's still fun!.
the answer really goes along with what you're most comfortable with and what exactly you're more experienced on!. i mean, bass isn't very very very easy, but it isn't hard, but the same thing goes to rhythm guitar!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
