Hip Hop and rap fans?!

Question: Hip Hop and rap fans!?
Ok rap and hip hop is at a very poor state!. We all know that, so like do you think it could bounce back and be the way it used to be like in the 90s!? Or do you think Hip Hop/Rap is officially dead!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

nah man just wait!.!. Sooner or later another biggie/2pac will come into the game a start up some new kind of rap and get it going again!.

I dont no about u guys but, all this new RHH stuff is like turning into pop!. Take 50's new album curtis!. His old stuff was sick but now hes doing songs with justin Timberlake!?!?!? Liek wtf man i thought 50 new beter!. Who agrees wit me that rap/hip hop is leading into this pop stuff, and dont u wish like it used to be like back in the 90's!? with the classics!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

hip hop goes in cycles!. we suffered through a few generations getting progressively worse, and then with biggie and pac being so good we thought it had to be dead!. really all they did was show us how bad everyone else was, and you thought we would have learned our lesson but we didn't because Master P was huge after Pac died and must have had like the worst roster ever in rap history!. i thought his beats were solid but i can't even listen to him anymore!.

i don't like soulja boy and lil wayne either, but they have a relationship with their fans the older artists don't have!. mainly that they buy records and support their artists by attending all their concerts!. soulja boy had hundreds of songs out there before he actually got signed; he worked the h*ll out of soundclick and youtube!. eventually their fans will grow up and mature and make some real music!. those artists, they have some great beats, some interesting ideas, but I'm not sure i can really call it hip-hop one way or the other!. like wayne is good but lollipop or the song where he plays a guitar with baby isn't really hip-hop!. soulja boy just has a monopoly on a sound, taking Atlanta back to those low budget days, and no one can figure out how to beat him at his beat game, once someone does he'll be history!.

hip hop is just stuck in a bad place right now, but it'll be back!. but the older artists won't bring it back; if anything they will have retired or moved on!. it'll be someone new with something new to say!. give it another 5 or 10 years it'll be interesting again!.

but rap was always in a poor state; at it's very best rap is just party gateway hip-hop!. rap was never really that great to begin with; most of their artists moved into other things, Will Smith is a great example of what happens when you exploit rap for what it can do for you, so is Eve because she had the potential to be a real solid hip-hop artist but left her audiences hanging off one solid record!. Kid and Play built a movie career off of rap and are probably still out in Hollywood somewhere!.

about the only rapper that was really serious about the music was MC Hammer!. yeah go ahead laugh but you played it in your Walkman when no one else was listening; everyone had the 12 inch or the cassette!. he was like really taking it seriously like his life depended on it!.

andrew s rap used to be the thing that gave pop that "it" factor and now it is the other way around!. a lot of times true pop is more honest and real than pop rap is because at least you know with unadulterated pop it's all about the beats and entertaining you and a lot of pop rap tries to take itself seriously when it really shouldn't!. too many rappers think they're real hip-hop artists; they never will be and it is okay if they never are because there is always a need for party rappers!.

we were talking about ludacris just earlier today, like his whole thing really boiled down to trying to shock someone!. i tried to stick with luda from the beginning but some people sort of saw through him since the beginning!. it's like how can you shock anyone when soulja is talking about "yaah b*" or yelling "dirty dirty h*" on a record!. you get a solid cut with arab, but then they go back to that ignorant chanting you're embarrassed to let anyone know you're listening to!.

soulja is too ignorant to realize he's doing the same s* luda did 10 years ago though!. that's the real problem with rap; these guys think they're original and they're just doing the same old gimmicks but for a newer generation!. luda just had to be a lot more thorough of a rapper than soulja did because of the times; everyone was a lot better back then!. but it's the same games!. even then, luda was getting some of it from redman, who is a lot better artist than luda is but was trying to bring that shock value, reality 90s everyman's rap to hip-hop!. talking about stuff like fat girls and dumbing it down just enough but keeping the real sick wordplay in there so you wouldn't notice!.

one thing those artists did was show that it could still be pedestrian and sound great, without a lot of the stuff people used to associate with the New School!. soulja boy isn't doing any of that, and that's where a lot of the criticism comes in at!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the rappers that are "killing" hip hop are only making it stronger in a way that actual rappers who spit sense and knowledge will persist to keep it alive!. The media portrays hip hop at its worst, which gives people this one way image of it, that it only degrades woman and etc!. My favorite hip hop duo is called "Atmosphere"Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think that the 90's was a time that will never be able to be replaced because of how unique it was!. However, i do agree that rap now is turning into all music about sex and drugs!. I believe if we can get more people back into the music of the past, that newer artists would try to emulate the music that the people like from the past!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No Hip-Hop isnt dead, there are plenty of artists who are keeping it alive, Chamillionaire put out Ultimate Victory, which was one of the best albums Ive heard in a while!. Nas, DMX as well as many others are putting out new albums soon, so no it isnt deadWww@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with the post by Apak (sp!?)
Theres still good Hip Hop out there!.!.!.you just gotta look for it!. But theres still artist reppin to the fullest!
Of course it wont' be the same as the 90s!.!.!.music is always changing!. But its def not dead!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Lupe Fiasco, Chamillionaire and The Game are bringing Hip-Hop back from all the damage Soulja Boy is doing to the genre!. And no I dont think Hip-Hop will be the same Hip-Hop from back then!. Unless you still jamm to Scarface and Nas!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I dont think its dead !.But look at like its dying from cancer!. And cancer being all these new wack a$$ rappers eating it up spreading the virus threw the whole body of hip hopWww@Enter-QA@Com

You just havent been listening to sum Plies niukka!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
