Why are Madonna, Prince and Michael Jackson considered Rock artists?!
Question: Why are Madonna, Prince and Michael Jackson considered Rock artists!?

rock isnt just a genre its an attitude!. when prince and madonna came out it was sleezy and sexy blew people away!. and mj!. having guest guitar work by eddie van halen, a true rock legend!. thats why i would think!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
because just as with this category--people put rock and pop together even though they are not the same styles of music!.
Prince is the only one of the three that I think could be realistically called a rock artist!. Although he's pop/funk/and many other things, he is also rock--when he plays guitar, he can rock!.
also, I agree that with Madonna it may have to with fact the she focused her career on sex from the beginning and at that time, such a thing was not as accepted in pop music as it is
today!.
And I don't know of anyone who considers Micheal Jackson to be rock!. I've never heard that before!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Prince is the only one of the three that could qualify as a rock artist!. Most of his stuff has a pop sound but he can wail on a guitar better than a lot of rockers!. Putting Madonna or Jacko in the rock genre is as crazy as Steely Dan winning a best metal album grammy over Metallica a few years back!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
