Question: For the life of me I cannot play c chord on the guitar!?

A beginner should be patient!. Your fingers will learn to stretch with practice!. And you will develop callouses on your finger tips (painful at first)!. The callouses allow you to make a better pressre on the string, without dampening its sound!.
The guitar neck is wide for your small hand, so just keep practising!. Write back in one week!.
Later on , you can make a C bar chord on the third fret!. It is an A chord with 3 little fingers, and your index finger 'bars' all the strings behind the 3rd fret (at G)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It took me a while to play the basic 8 (A, Am, E, Em, G, C, D, Dm) because i was so impatient, then i learned to take my time, if it sounds wrong obviously check your tuning, and then hold the c figure top(closest to your head) to bottom (x,1,0,2,3,0) strum the chord, then pluck each string, rinse and repeat, it will sit eventuallyWww@Enter-QA@Com
Use your other hand to place your fingers on the correct strings at first, then try going from an easy chord you CAN do, and switch to C-chord!. The more you practise this, the easier it will become!. It's always hard at first, just stick with it, 20mins a day, and you'll get in within a week or two, max!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

place your pinky finger on the 3rd fret, your ring finger on the second fret, and your pointer on the first fret!. i think i wrote that out right!.!.!.its pretty simple!.!.!.if your a newbie it may take a bit to get your fingers used to strtchin but it will come to ya!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It took me exactly four weeks to be able to play the g chord on my first guitar!. I thought I was never going to get it!. After that, the c chord was easy, so were d and a!. Watch out for f though! Another four weeks on that one! Stick with it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
