Of course this is just my opinion but based of first hand experience with all 3:

Peavey: I've never been a fan of Peavey amps!. Even after my friend got a 5150 half stack back in the day I still wasn't that impressed!. My beef with them is that they sound really, really bright and too thin for me!. I like a fatter chunky sound and no Peavey I've ever heard has never quite got it!.

Line 6: Don't buy a LIne 6!. My friend has an expensive Line 6 combo amp with the fancy on board effects processor and he has a $4,500(!) PRS that he plays through it!. The Line 6 amp strips away any possible natural tone the guitar has and replaces it with what it "thinks" it should sound like!. The result is that it doesn't matter what guitar you play it sounds the same!. His roommate's $300 Fender sounds just like his $4500 PRS when going through that amp!. And then it's tinny at that!.

Marshall: Best one on your list!. Tried and true!. Classic sound of a Les Paul runnin through a maxed out Marshall can't be beat!. It won't do much to distinguish your sound, but at least it's a sound everyone likes to hear!.

A recommendation: If you like a chunky metal sound check out Laney or Randall Amps!.

The only way to really decide is to plug in and play as many amps as you can!. Go to the guitar store with your axe and just start doing it!. Choose a "guitar store riff" before you go!. Sometimes it helps to have a riff in mind for the clean channel and another in mind for distorion channel!. Then you can play the same riff on the same guitar but through different amps to get a more accurate feel of how they differ!.

My personal fave: Fender tube amps!. But I'm kinda more a blues guy than anything else!.

Oh yeah almost forgot about the Ibanez question! My experience with Ibanez is that you absolutely get what you pay for!. The price reflects the quality pretty closely!. I used to play an Ibanez at the music store my bro took his drum lessons at!. It had a really thin body (maybe made of Koa or something) a thin neck and super low action and I felt I could just SHRED on that thing!. I used to plug into a Marshall and shake the whole store!. I thought the clean tone was real weak though!. But as I say, I'm more of a blues guy and while that's fun to do at a music store, I wasn't gonna pay 900 bucks for such a limited range!. But I sure thought about it a lot that's for sure!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yea Ibanez are fantastic Guitar makers, the bassist im my band has one of their basses and its sounds phenominal, and the guitars are just as good,

also line 6 amps are brilliant, they have multiple channels that enable you to change the sound of your guitar at the flick of the switch!.

i reccomend the line 6 spider 3 Valve editionWww@Enter-QA@Com

i don't know all the specs for it, but i love the way VOX sounds!.
Look into it!.
Get over to guitar center and try em out!.
I've heard it used by indie bands and rock bands!.
Alot of rockabilly bands use em too!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Kind of a wide open question my friend!.!.!.I mean do you want tube/valve or solidstate!.!.maybe the hybrid (tube in pre amp solid state in power section)!.!.!.but here we go I guess

Marshall!.!.!.there's a reason that everyone and their brother plays one!.!.they are that good and make solid state along with tube amps now!.!.a nice thing about them is you can go 100 watt head and use the "power break" to get a nice driven sound, but not wake the neighbors at 2:00 am!.!.!.there is literally a whole slew of Marshall amps out there for all types!.!.they are pretty pricey though!.
LINE 6!.!.!.I have had the "spider" and it was very versatile!.LINE6 has made "amp modeling" a staple in amp shopping!.Want that Marshall sound!?dial it up and it's in there!!Line 6 is definately worth checking out!.!.they offer awide range of amps at affordable prices!.also they are famous for having the "artist presets" and "song presets" programmed right in there,so with just a turn of the knob!.!.!.!.you got SRV!.!.turn the knob and you got "Cowboys from hell"!.!.their tube amps (spider valve ect) are designed by Bogner now,who is a master at tube amps!.!.OUT OF YOUR LIST I'D GO LINE 6!.!.!.versatility and price!.!.they sound amazing
PEAVEY!.!.!.who hasn't owned one!.!.!.great for starters, unless you wanna dump a few grand on the EDVH III!.!.they sound to my ear way to "gritty",especially the solid state ones(bandit ect)the speakers that come in them(combos)!.!.ewww!.!.!.that's being nice!.but for what they cost,I can see why alot of entry level players choose them, just my opinion!.!.!.
KRANK!.!.!.they make some killer amps!.!.!.highly recommend checking them out!.
Well hope this helps ya in some way!.!.if you got it narrowed down I might be able to help ya more!.!.!.e-mail meWww@Enter-QA@Com
