What should I practice on the guitar to improve faster?!

Question: What should I practice on the guitar to improve faster!?
Are there any scales or exercises that I should practice on the guitar that will help me improve faster!? I have a lot of free time every day so the length of the practicing time is not an issue!.
ThanksWww@Enter-QA@Com

i agree with that teacher way above me proper lessons are probably the best way to get better
but if lessons aren't an option then i suggest a few things

everyone says this but learn all the scales, chromatic blues minor scales all of them

also get a chord chart online and learn some of the basic chords and practice any that you have trouble with

picking exercises try alternate picking

learn some basics songs!. house of the rising sun is one that a lot of people start with (me included)

there might be some youtube tutorials that have some tips there's this one dude Justin Sandercoe (i think that's how you spell it) that has a bunch of tutorials

oh and this isn't really necessary but i know it helped me do better with chords and stuff!. i bought one of these little finger exerciser things on eBay for like 6 bucks!. its called a Gripmaster and i used it for a while everyday and in a few days, i noticed a difference in how i played!. if you do get one just get the red one
it does work and the 7 pound thing is enough

hope this helps and good luck getting betterWww@Enter-QA@Com

There are a lot of different ways!. I have a friend who plays the chords to House of the Rising Sun (he is an oldie) as fast as he can - over and over!. He is really fast now!. He says it helps him warm up!.

You could just take a few of the more common chords like C Am D G and practice playing them with a few strums each!. The more you do it, the faster you will get and your mind will start remembering your finger positions with even thinking!. Or just take 3 or 4 of your favorite chords and see how fast you can switch between them!.

playing any scales will help also!. just low c through high c is a good starting point!.

I like to take a few chords I have trouble with and practice changing between them and my easier chords!. It's not as fun palying hard chords, but it will sure help you get better quicker!.

Practice different strums too!. The more you strum, the better you will get!.

It's funny how it happens though!. You will be practicing every day and not noticing much progress - then all of a sudden one day!.!.!. you will be like "WOW" I just got better!. It will happen - keep strumming!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes, scales and exercises will help!. But do you want to know the ONE thing that will help you improve faster than anything else!?
LESSONS with a qualified instructor!.
As a teacher I have witnessed, several times, how much faster a student progresses than some one who does not take lessons!. I also have seen students who study what I teach them far out pace students that don't practice!. some of my students (most) play much better in a few months than others do in a few years! I am not exaggerating at all!. A good teacher can make a world of difference in your abilities in a very short time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

There are a couple of things!. Scales!.!.!.as many as you can!. One of the most boring, but effective excercises is to to chromatics up and down the entire fretboard!. 1st fret 1st finger 6th string!.!.!.2nd fret 2nd finger, 3rd fret 3rd finger 4th fret 4th finger!. Then move to the 5th string and do the same for all the strings!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Start with the major scales and arpeggio's!. This will help with your ear training and dexterity!. also, look up chromatic exercises!. This will help you learn all of the notes on the neck!.

Practicing a variety of scales will improve your playing!. One you have learned to play them several times, when you are listening to music and hear a song that you would like to play, it will be easier to hear what scales are being played!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

all scales!. well!.!.!. you know, D major, G major, G minor, A major, C major, and of course the arpeggios(i think that's how you spell it!.!.!.) practicing the chords are important too!.

well!.!.!.i hope that helped!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Do scales!.
EVERY SCALE!.
The minors, the flats, EVERYTHING!
Once you know it well, you will be able to go through the scale pretty fast which will improve your skills to move your finger from fret to fret!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Practice slowly!. Slow enough that you can play it perfectly!. Then repeat many times and gradually increase speed!. You can do this with scales, exercises, or your favorite songs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Just walk the bored as many times as you can and as fast as you can!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

scales, but also songs that you enjoy playing so it doesn't get boring, because if it gets boring you could burn out on practicing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
