honestly, hardly any of these bands really catch my interest!. i am a man of extremely diverse influences, although the choices are slim pickin's of flavorless radio garbage (pun intended) One does stand out, that isn't bland as a poptart with all the sugar scraped off it is: The Cure!. I would pick them, because Robert Smith's work from '83-'89 was pure genious!. Just my $!.02Www@Enter-QA@Com
R!.E!.M!. "Alternative" music wouldn't be the same today if it wasn't for them!. Even Kurt Cobain cited them as an influence, and though they've gotten pretty generic nowadays, their earlier stuff, especially their first album "Murmur" and "Automatic for the People" are amazing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
