if you are refering to the pickguard, yes and no!. Yes you can mount the pickups directly to the guitar but you will still need a bit of the pick guard to mount the volume and tone controls!. The most famous example of this is eddie van halens red and white stripe kramer guitarWww@Enter-QA@Com
