Question: Why do lots of Canadians hate Nickelback if they are a CANADIAN grunge band!?

I'm a Canadian, but it has nothing to do with why I don't like Nickelback!.
It might be because of CanCon (Canadian Content Regulations, meaning 30% of all music on the radio has to be Canadian)!. Since they're a mainstream pop band, they get played and promoted on alot of radio stations!. They're extremely overplayed here, and if I have to be subjected to "If Everyone Cared" one more time, I just might go postal!.

Just because they are a Canadian band doesn't mean Canada has to like them!. Now I'm not Canadian but I simply do not like the b/c of the singer!. I feel that his voice just doesn't fit to well to the music they are making!. He just isn't very melodic in his voice!. Yeah i know that type of music isn't driven by a voice but to me it has an impact!. I can hear a song with a great beat and I could not like it just because of the way the singer sings!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
