Question: MCR fans! no haters please, their "emoness"!?
Why is My Chemical Romance NOT an emo band!? I dont think they are, but I need some good points why they're not because I argue with my friend about it alot and I must win!Www@Enter-QA@Com

and in Life on the murder scene, Gee stands on stage and says "suicide is f!.cuking bulls/hit, if you know someone who is depressed, get them help"
Emo music is dark and depressing!.
My Chem's music, like head first for halos, is very upbeat!. It's maybe not saying the best things in the world, but, as Gerard has explained before, their music is meant to tell stories, not real life!. As well as Gerard has said he usually gets his concepts for songs while reading the newspaper!.

I don't mean to be nasty but both MCR and EMO'S are as bad as each other MCR are sellouts!. mcr's music does not have enough omg I want to die life is so horrible cause mommy wouldnt buy me that eye liner I wanted lol!. no really mcr just arent whiney enough!. If Gerrard Way sung a song that sounded like he was in tears or close to then maybe it would be a little emo!. also the instruments arent right!. MostlyThey are to up beat and in the sound of, 'everything think is bad but it will be ok cause i have faith' they need more deeper sadder riffs or more angry riffs!. the sounding needs to be: 'oh god there is nothing left im left empty, hollow in a derrange world so close to death, so why wait, why dont I just pour chrism sadness, it's the only way I know how!.' its like my guitar I have labled some of the chords; G=everything is wonderful, Em= everything is bad, Am=its getting worse, C=ahhh I'm starting to have hope, Bm; all hope is gone and I feel dead inside etc!.!.!.

they're not all about suicide and hurting themsleves!. they're actaully about helping people overcome that!. the song Cemetery Drive was written after a friend of theirs killed herself!. they are always talking about how suicide is the cheap way out and your really just hurting other people when you do it!.!.!.!.

well,they were soso emo UNTIL Gerard got sober and clean,you know,their lyrics like Drowning Lessons is such an emo content,but you see how they've changed,the content of "Three Cheers" were a little emotional too,such as Thank You for The Venom ,but they have had some good lyrics against bad stuff like suicide,for instance Cemetery Drive,when Gerard sings about slitting someone's wrists,the background sings: don't do it again,r u there at all!?do you care at all!?
and in The black Parade album they have tottally changed,their lyrics became more hopeful,more encouraging, the great example is Famous Last Words,and their concerts !.!.!.they had concerts in a black dark place where most of the fans were drunk,and Gerard himself too,but now they're a hell better,i like the past but you know new McR is better,like Gerard's point of view!.!.!.!.
now TBP concerts became better,and the guys appearances are more hopeful,and less make-up!.!.!.!.

what!? MCR has even said there emo!. In one interveiw there Gerard or gerad or whatever his name is was all " yeah emo bands have changed!. real emo bands where the ones i listened to as a kid, emo is different now but were not bad emo" i don't quote him exactly but along those lines!. Then he goes on to say something like "ya know all emo is these days is hair in your face and tight pants!."
