What are some good brand names in the ukulele field?!
Question: What are some good brand names in the ukulele field!?
I've been playing guitar on and off for the past 6 or 7 years now and I've recently been looking at getting into some ukulele!. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a decent quality ukulele brand name company, I'm not looking for anything top of the line or really even close to it, just something that sounds nice and doesn't have a hefty price tag!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've been playing the ukulele for a little over four years know and have an Ovation Applause soprano and tenor electrics, Mahalo, Kamaka, Samick concert and baritone, Lanikai concert and tenor, and a couple banjukes!. Along with a few other less expensive brands!. I'd say for the price the Lanikai's are the best!.

A couple pointers!?
If you're a starter don't buy a uke with friction tuners unless you buy a really expensive one!. I find the more expensive, the better the tuner!.
And, strings make a difference also!. I put Aquila strings on all that I play!. They even make the colorful $25 Mahalo sound good!.
Go to your local music store and try a few out!.
