Question: My electric guitar has had no strings for years!. If I put them on now, will it damage the guitar!?
Will the strings put too much pressure on the guitar neck, and damage it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Shouldn't hurt a thing!. Most guitar manufacturers recommend loosening the strings if storing the guitar for an extended period!. That keeps the stress off of the neck!. My guess would be that it will string up fine, but will most likely need a neck adjustment!. Possibly a complete set up!. The electronics could be dirty!. That would cause some scratchiness in the knobs!. String it up and see what happens!. You should be pretty much OK!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It shouldn't, but you may want to be gentle with it while you are tightening them!. Or you could try tightening them half of the way on day, then wait for it to adjust and do the rest the next day!. That's if you want to be really cautious though!. In my experience, electric guitars are really sturdy, but the neck can break on an acoustic if you aren't careful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

not in most cases!. there is a metal strees rod in the neck that gives support and strength!.probably the worse case sceniro would be a loosening of the bridge if its week and too dry!.
put all the strings on loosely first!. tighten the E1 first, then the E6
then th B then the A then the G then the D!. this will help keep an even tension on the neck dureing the string up process!.
normaly,it dont even matter, but in you case, recomend this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
