Do you often find that the first and last songs on an album are the best?!

Question: Do you often find that the first and last songs on an album are the best!?
Answers:
I noticed that!. I think they do it as a trap!. The first song gets you hooked so you listen to the rest of the album!.Even if the rest of the album is week then you get the last song which kicks ***!. So your impression is wow,not bad!.the first song shredded and so did the last and it kinda makes you forget how weak the rest may have been,or at least softens the buyers remorse blow!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm a big baseball fan and it seems that usually the third song in an album's lineup is the best (usually in a batting lineup, the #3 hitter is pretty much your best hitter)!.

As far as my favorite band, Bad Religion, I'm curious to see where the "best" (read: my favorite) songs stack up on their albums since "Suffer" in 1988:

Album--Track Name, Track#
Suffer--"Suffer" #9
No Control-- "You" #10
Against the Grain-- "Against the Grain" #10
Generator--"Too Much to Ask" #2
Receipe for Hate--"Man with a Mission" #5
Stranger than Fiction-- "Better off Dead" #6
The Gray Race--"10 in 2010" #11
Skip the next two albums
The Process of Belief-- "Sorrow" #8
The Empire Strikes First-- "Live Again" #14 (and final of that album)
New Maps of Hell-- "Honest Goodbye" #7

So usually in the middle of the order!. However, as far as albums go, Bad Religion know how to grab attention with their first tracks (i!.e!. Modern Man, You Are (the Government)) and usually finish an album well with their last track being as memorable as any other track on any of their albums (i!.e!. Only Entertainment, Live Again, Walk Away, Skyscraper)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's a marketing technique!. After the songs are recorded they are arranged so that the hits or radio friendly songs are first on the album!. tracks in the middle are usually just filler tracks that make up the album and the last track is usually meant to have a good closing or to draw you in to waiting for a follow-up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah, the first song is really good and sets the tone for the album, like welcome to the jungle from appetite for destruction, and the closer usually makes a statement, such as rock and roll ain't noise pollution from the famous back in black!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes i do lol,
take This Godless Endeavor by Nevermore
Born-first song, and This Godless Endeavor-last song, were the two best songs on the album! and that actually goes for alot of the albums/artists that i listen toWww@Enter-QA@Com

Not so much!.

Justice:tracks 2,3,4,6 were best
Black album: 2,4,5,8,9
Master:2,3,4,7
Lightning:2,3,4,7,8
Kill Em All:2,4,5,6,9

those are just a few right away

On some albums, the first is a strong one!.!.but as been mentioned!.!. seldom have I found the last very strong!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, I do!. Maybe not so much the last song all the time!.!.!.but the first is usually my favorite (or one of my favorites) on the album!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nah, usually my favorite songs are in the middle!. They do that so I have to press the forward button many times to piss me off, hahaWww@Enter-QA@Com

i find that the 5th or 6th songs are always the strongest after the first!. just my observationWww@Enter-QA@Com
