Tenor and alto clef are known as the C-clefs, because the staff line that intersects the clef is middle C!. This clef can be moved around just as treble and bass clefs were moved in the Renaissance and Baroque eras!.

In short, the easiest way for me to read these clefs - being a natural treble/bass reader - is to remember that the middle of the clef is middle C!. So the lines for the alto clef reading upward would be the notes F A C E G, where the third staff line is the one that intersects the clef!. The tenor clef staff lines would be the notes D F A C E where the fourth staff line intersects the clef!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I dont know what you mean by Tenor and alto clef!.!.!.do you mean Treble and Bass clef!?

If so, Treble:
=Read lines from bottom up-they say E, G, B, D, F [Every good boy deserves fruit]
=Read spaces from top down-they say F, A, C, E

And, Bass:
=Read lines from bottom up-they say G, B, D, F, A [Good boys deserve fruit always]
=Read spaces from top down-they say A, C, E, G [All cows eat grass]

Always remember also that everything in treble is 2 below bass, ut usually played an octave or more above :)

hope that helped :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
