Have you heard the Khachaturian Violin Concerto played on flute?!

Question: Have you heard the Khachaturian Violin Concerto played on flute!?
I'm a violinist and I just heard this on NPR the other day!. I hate to admit it, but I think I actually like it better on flute (but not by much)! I really love the piece both ways!. Have you heard this and if so which version do you prefer!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Of course I've heard! It is the authentic author's version, with the different "spirit" than the violin concerto!. It's more serene on flute, but on many recordings the orchestra plays too heavy regarding the sound and power of the flute!. I can recommend the version of Pahud (EMI)!. But, however, I prefer the violin version!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've only heard the first movement - only in flute!. I didn't know much about Khachaturian, and thought it was a flute concerto!.
I do like the part I heard (1st Mvt) by the flute, sounds nice!. I'll get around to the violin one sometime!.
