Serious question to the younger generation (age 13-30)? 10 pts. for best answer?!

Question: Serious question to the younger generation (age 13-30)!? 10 pts!. for best answer!?
I know this forum appeals to all age groups within the hip hop community and it's not in place for me to say what you should or shouldn't like of today's mainstream or underground artist but my father told me in my younger days that knowledge of the past is essential for the future thus my question!. Do you truly know the history of hip hop!? How far back have you gone to learn about certain MC's and DJ's and how they contributed to the game!?

Bonus: Have you heard of:
Three X Dope
Ms!. Melodie
UTFO, if so what songs do you remember!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
I am 16 and I can say I do know the roots of hip hop!. DJ Kool Herc and Afrika Bambaataa (he contributed to DJ battling too) are some of the earliest known influencers of hip hop, then came Grandmaster Flash, LL Cool J and Kurtis Blow came!. I enjoy some mainstream, excluding Shawty Lo and Soulja Boy types, but I like the older and more insightful rap the best like Rakim, 2 Pac, Nas, LL Cool J ect!.

I could expand on this answer and tell you a lot more about the roots of rap, but you know the roots and you asked if he younger generation knows about the roots of hip hop and i have demonstrated that at least some of the young generation knows about hip hop!. It's good because if people just only knew about the Shawty Lo's and Hurricane Chris' of rap, the likes of Afrika Bambaataa, Marley Marl and Kool Herc would be forgotten!.
