yes, and no, it all depends, im a dj and rem when soulja boy first single came out it started in atlanta of course and then a couple of months later it made it up to ny, everybody around my way, (nj, philly) was cranking that soulja boy, grown men in their 30's was doing the same thing right next to kids, it was crazy once you put that song on, and dont get me started on crank that batman, spiderman, forest gump, (yes i said forest gump),
but this song has been out for a good two months now, and is starting to atch on to pepole now, its not the best song but its something DIFFRENT, i dont think its hip hop at all but its apart of the down south movement, the game is changing though,
