I have the worst tremelo and trill technique!.!.!. Any help!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
The tremolo and trill are produced with fingers and wrist -- a slight wrist rotation coupled with finger motion!.

A good way for me to practice tremolo has been to hold one of the notes in question down, and with a loose relaxed wrist, play the other at the approximate tempo that you would like to play the tremolo -- if you can't play that tempo, then work up to it in stages!.

Example -- lets say you want to do a C major chord tremolo with the left hand, alternating between c-e and g!.
While holding down the g with your thumb, relax your wrist and repeatedly strike the c-e with whichever fingers you will be using!. You will notice that your wrist is rotating slightly!. Now try it with the opposite note -- hold down the c and e while you repeatedly strike the g with your thumb!. Maintain a relaxed wrist!.

Then play the tremolo normally, in rhythm, starting slowly, and increase you speed gradually!. Stop when you are fatiqued, and do something else!. You will build your endurance and speed gradually -- be patient!. It takes a long time to develop a good relaxed and rhythmically consistent tremolo!.

Tremolos with longer hand extensions are harder because the stretched muscles fatigue more easily --but the same technique worked for me!.

Long trills are just like tremolos -- get ther wrist involved and RELAX -- relaxation is the key!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
