I live in Tennessee, so it's pretty humid here and every night I sleep with my door shut, a humidifier on and my guitar is in the room with me (I am a singer and the humidifier helps my voice)!.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Guitars can take a decent amount of normal humidity!. If It is an acoustic than you should put it in it's case when you are not playing it!. Electric guitars are more robust and can take a higher degree of humidity!. If the neck is not warping then your OK!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The greater danger might be during the winter if you have an indoor fireplace, the air can get too dry and possibly cause cracking if the wood dries too quickly!. Rapid changes in humidity either way could possibly be harmful!. I've seen some small humidity meters that fit in a guitar case- search the net to have a look at these!. If you're really worried then put your guitar in a different room from where you sleep!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
