Which subject should I choose if I want to be a music composer?!
Question: Which subject should I choose if I want to be a music composer!?
I know I can creat songs,but I really don't know what to do after secondary school!.!.!.Who can help me to solve this problem!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Do you want to be a COMPOSER or a SONGWRITER!? This will greatly affect what schools you apply to!.
If what you want to do is be a composer of "art music" (for lack of a better name), then you can apply to any of the millions of colleges in the country that have a music composition major!. Try University of Michigan, if you desire!.!.!.great composition program!.
On the other hand, if you want to study somewhere that they'll help you learn how to write better "pop songs" (again, for lack of a better name), then these programs are probably not for you!. The only school I can recommend offhand is Berklee college of Music (in Boston), which offers these kinds of "commercial" music degress!. I'm sure there are others!.

Can you read and write music!? If you can't, you need a thorough foundation in this skill!. The best way I can think of, is take piano lessons from a good teacher: take a least 1-2 years!.
After you have this experience under your belt, and are familiar and comfortable with the "written" nomenclature, you will then need to take courses in the following, and in sequence as enumerated:
Harmony, counter-point, and finally composition!. Then, you'll be on your way!.

If you can't find a school with a composition major, then look for a major in music theory!. You will need to know the rules of counterpoint, voice leading, scales/modes/keys, and form!.!.!.to name a few!.
NOTE: This will be a VERY difficult program for you if you do not currently play any instrument!. You didn't specify, so I hope for your sake that you have some kind of foundation!. also, get yourself a reliable recorder!.!.!.you will need to record some music "grunts" playing your compositions as part of the assignments!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Some music schools, and some universities with large music departments, offer a major in music composition!.
Indiana University offers a music composition major!. Hold onto your manuscripts, because you will need them for your application!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You can study music, and especially music theory in practice, try buying some theory books by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
