I've always enjoyed each version equally!.
Though worth mentioning is Blue Cheer's version!.!.!.that was pretty darned heavy for it's time!
Dr!. Sarcastic and Vapour Trails are correct!.!.!.Rush did an excellent version of the song also back in 2004 on their 'Feedback' EP!. They also covered songs by Cream, The Yardbirds, Love, and Buffalo Springfield on the EP as well!.!.!.worth checking out!

Eddie Cochran's, by far!. Not just because he wrote it, but he lived it!. He was barely out of his teens when it was a hit!. When you consider how primitive analog recording was in Eddie's day, the song impacts even more!.
No wonder everyone under the sun has covered it!. The song gets to the heart of a young man's angst!. The Who's cover comes closest to what the song is about, while Alan Jackson should be in prison for what he did to that song!. Nasally, flat vocals with no hint as to what the song means!.
