Why do people make funny faces when they are singing?!
Question: Why do people make funny faces when they are singing!?
Answers:
Because we are taught that way as little kids!. Here is a prime example!.

But seriously, performance is as much an art as the singing itself!. If all you do is sing, it becomes very boring very fast, no matter how good the singing is, unless you perform as well!. I believe learning to perform is actually harder than the singing itself!. also, singing involves sound "formation!." The shape of your mouth, the openness in your throat and mouth etc!. Some people lift their eyebrows trying to help lift their soft palette!. Some sing out of the sides of their mouths as they sing higher, and other such tricks or techniques!. I suggest that 90%, or more, never look in a mirror as they practice, so they have no idea what they look like!.
It's another area where a voice coach helps!. I have never been a studio that didn't have at least one mirror in front of the piano!. My teacher is always having me look in the mirror as I sing for this very reason!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it can be because of many different reasons!.!.!.
1!. they could be consintrating so much on the song that they don't remember to keep their face softer looking and more in controll!.
2!. singers need a lot of open space in their mouth, so sometimes the facial expressions are because of the different notes that are being sung and the singer is having to focus the openess of his mouth to the harder notes!.
3!. sometimes facial expressions help interpret songs!. -angry face for a song that is ful of anger, sad face for a song that means alot to the singer and it's very heartfelt, happy face for !.!.!. well!.!.!.!.!. happiness!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
