Question: Most underrated Metal genre!?

I would say Stoner Metal!.
Rythemn what type of music do you exactly like when you are talking about Speed Metal because Speed Metal is such a broad genre no offence!.
I mean, Speed Metal is usually combined with another genre!. Such as Slayer plays both Speed and Thrash Metal!. Then there are bands like Dragonforce who play Speed and Power Metal!. Then you have Wintersun who plays Melodic Death Metal and Speed Metal!. So exactly what bands do you listen to that are considered Speed Metal!? Just curious!.

A lot of what we called "Speed Metal" back in the day (late 80s for me) is stuck under other Genres now!.!.!. Like Bolt Thrower!.!.used to just be called UK SpeedMetal!. I remember it was even listed that way at the shops!.!.!. SpeedMetal!.
Now!.!. we really don't see it mentioned!. Weird!.
Seems like a lot of the bands we called Speed back in the day are either Thrash or Death now!.

*And!.!. I guess all this leads to my answer!.!. or lack of one!. There is so much crossover between Genres, especially today, that I just don't honestly see the point of tracking them!.
I give Token Notice to the majore Divisions, like Thrash, Death, Black, Power, Heavy and Alt!.!.!.!. but honestly, all these "Sub" genres from Doom to Symphonic to Brutal, or even the way "Speed" is used these days, they are honestly just adjectives to further describe bands in a particular Genre!.
All these "Cores" and other spinoffs just usually annoy me!. Hell, most Metal or Death Core woulda just been called Death or Speed Metal 20 years ago!. (Mostly crap Death or Speed Metal!.!. but sucking is no excuse to form a seperate Genre!.!. unless we just call one SUCKCORE for al the bands that FAIL!.)
Can we just STOP the Genre Madness!? I mean, honestly!.!.!. almost every Band in Metal these days have their own little subsubsub genre!. It's really freaking retarded!. Why do we need a label for EVERY freaking deviation!?

If I had to choose!.!.!. I'd say!.!.!.!. Prog Metal, probably!.!.!. doesnt get near the respect it should!. Eventhough I find few bands are truly pure Prog!.!.!. but a lot of bands crossover into it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i would say Doom Metal!. not many people relaly like it, but, its brilliant! take bands like Candlemass, Witchcraft, Pentagram, Sahg, the first Black Sabbath albums, its amazing! yet its sooo overlooked:/Www@Enter-QA@Com
I would say Progressive Metal other than Opeth I don't see many other bands of that genre mentioned on here!. I'm with Heavy Metal Jesus on Doom it doesn't get the recognition it deserves!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
