What do you think Bohemian Rhapsody is about?!

Question: What do you think Bohemian Rhapsody is about!?
I just came across a very interesting quote by Freddy Mercury, "It's one of those songs which has such a fantasy feel about it!. I think people should just listen to it, think about it, and then make up their own minds as to what it says to them!.!.!.'Bohemian Rhapsody' didn't just come out of thin air!." So what do you think the lyrics mean!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Personally - I think the "ideas" for structure and music, came before the Lyrics!.

I don't think that there is a "real" deep meaning to the Lyrics!.

I think that Queen was using this Compositional Outline for a Soap Operetta -- where the idea of this "tragedy" of "momma, just killed a man," etc!. -- Is a Parody of Melodrama that fits-in so beautifully with the music!.

Or, maybe the Lyrics were written first, but I am SURE that Mercury was just expressing a Melodramatic story -- for pure entertainment!.

EDIT --

Okay, here is a Wiki Link which contradicts my opinion, but it's kinda interesting !!

I think the song is a metaphor for suicide!.

Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooo
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters!.!.!.

The gun is the singer's and it is the singer's head too!.!.!. He realizes that he is taking the easy way out and he is apologizing for taking his life!. The song is about the conflict of life and the pain that you can only feel if you risk being hurt!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

to me the lyrics are basically a story of a person who has killed a man accidentally, and is talking to his mother, basically saying how he deserves to die for what he has done!.!.!.the scene then shifts to hell, where the man about whom the story is written faces the prospect of selling his soul to the devil, and later(the hard rock section) he realizes what a mistake he has made, and attempts to save himself from an unknown force(probably the devil), and in failing at this, decides that "nothing really matters"Www@Enter-QA@Com
