Unless you're planning on emulating Simon and Garfunkel, songs are NOT poetry set to music!. You need to write the music - or at least a chord progression first!.
Then decide what you want your song to be about, and just write some words - if it rhymes, great!.!.!.if not - DON'T SWEAT IT!.
Then practice saying the words to the chord progression, increasing your expression each time!. Eventually build up to actually singing the words!. THEN you can make edits, if you need, but again, it shouldn't all be about rhyming!.
Then after your lyrics are nailed down, work with your band members to write a melody!.
Of course, there are other ways to write songs, but this is the easiest!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's kind of tough!. I don't know if anyone can teach you how to write!.
If you play guitar, start learning how to improvise!. That'll get your solos/riffs!.
As far as lyrics go, just start writing!. Everyone has to write poems in English class!. Expand on some of that!.
