Whats the best guitar for advanced players spending no more than $300?!

Question: Whats the best guitar for advanced players spending no more than $300!?
I have been playing for almost 3 years now and ive always been satisfied with my guitars which people seem to consider as beginner guitars so i want to upgrade now to something considered as advanced!. Im trying to limit myself to $300 cuz i dont want to overwhelm my parents with the price!. whats probably the best guitar $300 or less that has 24 frets and (dont have to have one) a whammy bar!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If people think that your guitars now are beginners guitars, then 300$ probably isn't going to do much to change their mind!.

I've been playing guitar for over a decade now, and even though I still wouldn't consider myself an advanced player (I know too many great guitarists, I guess), I have to tell you that it's not the guitar that makes the guitarist!. You will probably never have the highest quality guitar or amp or pedals or speakers or whatever - the important thing is to learn how to get the most out of what you have!. Get decent equipment and use it to its fullest potential!

I would not suggest getting a guitar with a whammy bar!. Especially at this price point, any floating trem you get will pretty much suck!. Even good floating trems don't stay in tune for very long, and as already mentioned you can't change the tuning without reintonating the guitar!. If you don't know how to do that stuff or want to be able to try different tunings, stay away from a floating trem!.

Well, my solution was to get a less expensive guitar and make the most out of it!. I bought an LTD EC-50 (and an EC-100QM later), and after a good setup/intonation, a new Seymour Duncan JB humbucker, a bit of rewiring, grounding, and shielding, and for less than 300$ I've got a pretty dang decent sounding guitar!. It doesn't have the quality tone wood of a more expensive guitar, and i'd like a little more sustain, but for the price it can't be beat!. It doesn't have a whammy bar and it doesn't have 24 frets!.!.!. sometimes you have to ask yourself if you really need that stuff!. Sometimes compromise is the best solution!.

And let's face it - a good amp really helps!. And the more gain you use, the less difference different tone woods make!. So, it works in the end, especially if you're into metal!. It is actually better to spend more money on EQ than it is on buying a better quality of wood, in my opinion, if you play mostly metal!. High gain will already increase your sustain, presumably you'll have high output pickups, maybe an onboard preamp (or active pickups, pretty much the same thing), so you'll have plenty of signal to play with!.

Obviously it helps to know how to work on a guitar!. Perhaps that would be something for you to learn!? Doing your own work (if you do it right!) is something that can save you a lot of money, and will enable you to customize and enhance the sound you can get out of your guitar!.

!.!.!. Now that I think about it, I'm kinda surprised!. You've had 5 guitars in almost three years!? Really!? It must be nice to have parents who are that supportive and are able to fund stuff like this in that volume!. Mine couldn't!.!.!. If I couldn't make the money, I couldn't afford it!.!.!. Might I suggest waiting and finding a good quality guitar that might even be more than 300$, and saving up for it!? You appreciate things you buy with your own money a lot more than when they're bought for you!. Besides, if you buy the right guitar, you won't need another one for a long time!.!.!.!.

Honestly bro, stop buying cheap guitars!. If you already have 4 and are an "advanced" player, save up some cash and buy something that is made better, with better pickups!. Example: a Fender, Gibson, ESP, PRS model!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Would you go second hand!?
$300 is really low for a good quality guitar!.
I think At least $500 will give you a much better guitar!.
Look at Ibanez products at your local music stores, compare prices!Www@Enter-QA@Com

You know the gibson on guitar hero two!? my buddy bought one of those for under $300!. Those SG or whatever, go sale hunting!Www@Enter-QA@Com

yea an ibanez or a les paul would be goodWww@Enter-QA@Com

$300 is not going to get you much in terms of a professional instrument but I will attempt to give you my best insight on this one!. If you want something with 24 frets and good for heavy stuff I would recommend going with an Ibanez RG!. There are a lot of different RG models so you'll have to go to a store and see what suits you best!. These guitars are made to play fast and can be very easily upgraded by putting better pickups in them!. This is usually where lower line guitars cut back!. Most RG's are made of the same wood and play very well!. I have an RG 570 and I upgraded the pickups to the ones that John Petrucci uses and it screams!
also, most RG's are fitted with a Floyd Rose bridge so if you want a guitar with a whammy bar, look no further!. These guitars were meant for whammy's!. It is important though to ask yourself what kind of music you will be playing!. Anything with a floyd rose is not meant to change tunings so if your going to be playing in drop D or C, you will need to reset the guitar to play this way!. Anything with a fixed bridge can be easily changed but Floyd Rose gutiars take a lot more time to setup!. I have a bunch of YouTube videos that show you how to do this, you can check them out here: http://www!.youtube!.com/rockguitarpower
Otherwise, I would look around to see if there are any used guitars that catch your eye!. This is a great way to get a better quality guitar for a cheaper price, not to mention that brand new guitars usually need a lot of playing to get them feeling comfortable anyway!.
I am a full time professional guitar teacher and I have worked with hundreds of students who are mostly are beginners and asking me this very question!. There's no doubt that you can get a lot more for your money these days, you just have to do your homework and above all, look for a guitar that is going to inspire you want to play!.
Hope that helps!Www@Enter-QA@Com
