I have both!. The ES-339 is killer with the '57 Classics installed!. After playing on that for awhile, I bought two of those pickups to put in my LP Standard!. The tone in the ES-339 is better that the LP due to the extra resonance!. But the LP is more versatile!. If you dont play a lot of metal, get the es-339!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
