Well, Shinedown's cover of "Simple Man" was just incredible!. It made a very good song into a classic!.
But "Free Bird" is one of the very best rock songs ever written, and I'm not all that much of a Skynyrd fan!. It's an astonishing guitar symphony, and I have never once been tired of listening to it!.

Tough question, really!. Freebird is a great anthem and way more popular a song!. Definitely got more airplay!.
Simple Man has a different feel to it!. More of a ballad!. More from the heart!. Something you could really relate to!.
