Question: Do you think I should prepare a song in advance!?
I am going for my first singing lesson soon and I have no idea what to expect!.
Should I prepare a song to sing on the first meeting!? Or wouldn't I be pushed that far being new!?
I know all teachers will be different but I would appreciate your thoughts as i'm very nervous!.

While it's most likely the teacher will evaluate you by taking you through scales and vocal exercizes it might not be a bad idea to have a song to sing so the teacher can evaluate your voice, phrasing, and breathing!. It's likely that she/he will have something in mind for you to sing, but you might be less nervous if you had something you were familiar with!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Heres what I would do!.!. I would bring a song!.!.!. just in case!. You can always put it in a purse and if she asks if you brought a song you can pull it out!.
When you get there relax and act normal! If she starts looking for a song for you to sing, offer yours and pull it out, it will show that you are prepared!
