why do people say it!. mainstream or underground!. there is good stuff and bad stuff just like back in the day!. the topics havent changed that much at all but for some reason kanye west or someone like that isnt as good as biggie!. the only thing i can say that has changed is that there has never been a Big L or tupac replacmentWww@Enter-QA@Com

rap is not dead but there are some pretty bad ones but there are also really good rappers and some whove been in the game for a long time like bow wow E40 Busta ryhmes some of the new rappers are trying to do something new like coming up with catchy dances to there songs but even though alot of rap is about the samthings like sex drugs gangs strippers getting drunk screw the cops but its catchy it appeals to diffrent people and theres also many diffrent kinds of rappers new addition old scool underground and many more and trust me rap/hip hop is deffinetly not dead is been around for a long time and its not dying anytime soonWww@Enter-QA@Com
i beilieve the reason why is that nowadays no one takes time to put out a good product anymore!. true there was good and bad stuff out there, but the good outnumbered the bad!. if rappers took their time and rapped about something (besides jewelry, clubs, drinking, smoking, rims and money) then it would be worth listening to!. it hasn't changed, just changed regions (the south has it on lock)!. and it all goes in cycles!. first it was the east, then the west, now the dirty dirtyWww@Enter-QA@Com
Most of the new stuff is a joke!. It's all flashy and repeditive!. It sounds like ruckus!. Some of the club songs are catchy if your drunk or on something, but that's about it!. Everybody sold out!. Even the underground shiznit sounds like garbage!. I wish I could of got more bay area cds from back in the day, but now they're so over priced it's ridiculous!. Take it easy, peace!. Oh yeah, I'm all West Coast, but that hyphy bull$h!t needs to go!. The old purpose of the idea of "hip hop" is not the same anymore!. It used to be to open the minds of whoever listened!.
Now, theres way less of that kind of hip hop!. Its mostly club music thats "important" now!. Thats why people (especially Nas) are saying its dead!.
