The brand new CD from Walter Trout, The Outsider is an excellent blues/rock album!. Peter Green's Splinter Group's Reaching the Cold 100 and Eric Clapton's Me and Mr Johnston are most enjoyable!. Paul Rodger's Muddy Water Blues is a classic, featuring amongst others, Slash (Guns'n'Roses), Brian May (Queen), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) on Guitar!. One of my favorites is On The Boards by Taste, from 1970 it crosses blues, jazz and rock in the progressive style of the times!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Live at the Regal is a legendary blues album!.

also, check out Hooker N' Heat!. It's a collaborative album with John Lee Hooker and Canned Heat and its some of the most raunchy sounding blues in the world!.

I don't know much about jazz, but I have Kind of Blue by Miles Davis and its definitely one of the greatest recordings of music ever made!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Ledbetter Heights by Kenny Wayne Shepherd!. GREAT album!. ALL blues, NOT jazz!. If he likes electric blues, delta type stuff, this is great!. It's a SPECTACULAR album, it was KWS's first, and he's evolved a lot since then, but he was about 16 or 17 when he produced it, and it's mind numbing!. I got it for MY dad, and he went out and bought all the rest!Www@Enter-QA@Com

try bb king live at the regal, texas flood by SRV and double trouble, if he hasn't heard freddie king a compilation, if you love these blues mike bloomfield, the early robert johnson stuff if he's a huge blues fan, and buddy guy and junior wells play the blues should be a good start!. PS if he proffers acoustic blues lightnin hopkins is quite amazing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
