Question: Why do some people find music where they scream, scary!?
I was listening to music, and my sister walks in and was like, " EW! What are you listening too!?! Devil worship music!? It's SO scary" then walked out, I looked at her like wtf, and all my other pansy friends think my music is scary, but like WHY how is it scary!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Maybe because they aren't used to it!. I don't personally like it myself, but I don't like screaming in the first place!. I'm a mellow person and like to keep it "calm"!. Some people may feel intimidated because they don't like conflit and the screaming may remind them of that!. And some people are so closed-minded that they just can't open up and listen to the music!. Some just like to judge others so they immediately put it down!. If a song has screaming it considered evil!.I had a Metallica sticker that I stuck on something and I was told I needed to remove it because that band is evil!. honestly!.!.!.!. or watever your name is no offense but your an idiot read some lyrics some "screaaming" songs have deeper lyrics let me phrase this differently all "screaming" songs/bands have deeper lyrics than the poppy stuff you most likely listen to
most people just cant understand the words and it freaks them out print out some lyrics and let your sister listen and read she'll probably still not ike the genre of music but will be open to your decision of the music you listen to
sure some there are some "statanic" screaming bands but there is always a few bad apples in any bunch

I grew up listening to Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Slayer, Machine Head, Morbid Angel, Carcass and Napalm Death etc and used to take a heavy pounding for it but I love rock, metal & industrial music and I don't give a damn about any of those types of comments, it's ignorance and probably a bit of jealousy that you dare to swim against the tide instead of just falling into line and going with the flow!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well, I personally, don't mind it too much!. Until it gets to the point where all they're doing is screaming and striking only 2 chords every 10 seconds!. That's not music!. I happen to be a Christian, but I don't exclusively listen to Church Music, but to be honest I'm not afraid of it!. There are many hardcore punk bands that scream, but they're not even talking about the devil in any way shape or form!. So it all comes down to the lyrical content I guess!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Lol!. My grandpa got all pissed off at me when one of discs had the word "stupid" as a lyric!. It was a christian cd! Enough about lyrical content though!. Your question was about the way lyrics are conveyed!. I suppose some people are worried about the confrontational nature of the music!. I love those raspy choruses!. It gives the tune some emotion!.
