I think you can make a stronger case that he's the best underground hip hop artist than you can that he's the best underground emcee!. It's the combination of his rapping and production that got him where he is!. If he was relying solely on his rapping ability, his comeback in the late 90s may have gone unnoticed!. If he didn't have excellent production skills, he would probably be on the same level as Prince Po and Grand Daddy I!.U!., who are good emcees, but their comebacks weren't really successful because they didn't have anything else going for them!. Either way, I don't think Doom is the best underground emcee or artist!. The best emcee is either J-Live or Aceyalone (both in my top 10 all-time regardless of underground or mainstream) and the best underground artist is Madlib!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yeah he's nice but I couldn't listen to his bizarre multiple personalities too often, having said that he is original and does have a fresh approach to Hip Hop considering how long he's been in the game!.
