Answers:
Its long hard road, cos you never stop learning, most people give up after about 6 months, because they don't sound like their guitar hero!. But if you stick at you will get better!.
Electric or Acoustic!? well, electrics are easier to play ( if you buy something not too cheap) But if learn on an acoustic, you can play anything!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

idk which is easiest, but i have some advice: if you play guitar hero learning to play the real thing will seen impossible, and if you don't play it and learn guitar than later play, the game will same impossible!.

so if you interested in the guitar and playing guitar hero, think about which you'd prefer to struggle with!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

most teachers say it is better to star out on acoustic then swith to electric later!.

i did the opposite!. it just depends on which one you want to play most!. if you want to play electric do it, if you want to play acoustic do it!.

if you can take lessons, if not just pick a guitar and start playing, use books/dvds to help you if neccessary!.

good luckWww@Enter-QA@Com

It really depends on what type of music you want to play!. Personally, I started with an acoustic guitar!. Once I had it and learned the very basics from a book, I started to use http://www!.ultimate-guitar!.com You can look up the songs you want to play, and the chord symbols are there, so you can learn the chords you need as you go along!. Doing it this way, I have been playing for about 9 months and I can play and sing around 200 songs now!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I suggest starting with an acoustic guitar!. You dont want to spend time messing with the sounds just yet because youll put more emphasis on the sound of the effects rather than your actual playing!. Once you can play you can then go and refine your sound to something more industrial or whatever you want!.

Stay away from the tremelo!.
Work on scales at first, and get some sheet music to play!.
if you cant read music you can always use tabs!. You can search around for some websites that have tabs for songs you want to practice with!.

But remember Kurt Cobain's advice in his Journals; don't get too caught up in playing someone else's music because it hinders your own creativity!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Whether you get electric or acoustic, it's still going to be a learning curve if you haven't played before!. If you're too cheap to get a teacher, then just teach yourself by listening to songs and picking out the notes!. Get a music book with some chords to start learning proper hand positions and go from there!. I'd go with an inexpensive (but NOT wal-mart or Target) acoustic guitar!. Try a Jasmine (by Takamine), Fender, or Ibanez!. All of those brands have beginner models under $150 that are decent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not true, electric and acoustic are different but one is not easier than the other!. They both share the same basics, i!.e!. chords etc!. but the techniques are totally different but you can get some interesting effects by using electric on acoustic and acoustic on electric styles!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
