What happened to Hip-Hop?!

Question: What happened to Hip-Hop!?
From the excessive use of repetitive beats and usage of b****, a word referring to a garden tool, and the infamous 'N word'!.!.!.has true hip-hop fallen off!? Don't get me wrong I listen to Soulja Boy and all the booty shaking songs because they're catchy! I was born in the early 90's, but I still know of Biggie, Tupac, the early Jay-Z, KRS 1, Big Daddy Kane and a whole bunch others!.!.!.I just wanted to know other people's view on the issue of rap and hip-hop and the culture as a whole! Ya know the whole transition! It's not that I'm contradicting myself, but I hear about it on a daily basis of how hip-hop has died! Just my 2 cent, ya digg!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Creative, original Hip Hop didn't go anywhere!. As much as we want to hold on to the fantasy that Hip Hop is just some urban sub-culture of America, we have to accept that it's now a billion dollar industry and unfortunately the direction of the genre, like any other industry, goes where the dollars go!. I can name a bunch of artists that are dropping music that's ill and stays true to the form (Lupe Fiasco, Little Brother, MF DOOM, Blu & Exile, just to name a few) but when they put out music people don't support them!. The same people that complain about the state it's in are the first download somebody like The Roots' albums (whose last 2 albums are incredible to me) while Soulja Boy's fans have shot him past gold!. I think there's room for all styles but if people want some balance I think it's as simple as going out and actually BUYING the music!. Most cd's you can get at BestBuy nowadays for like $8!.99!. It's not that much!. If that's too much to ask or you can't dig and search for the creative and innovative artists who ARE out there then just accept what the mainstream gives and keep your mouth shut!. It's politics!. Hip-Hop is still alive, very much, The problem is people think Soulja Boy is a rapper, Soulja Boy is a entertainer, but yes hip-hop still has fallen quite a bit!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The only reason so many people are saying that hip-hop is DEAD is because of one little man(NAS) now we all have opinions don't let nobody make decisions for you!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
