Looking for the title and (hopefully) artist of a song that I think was from the early or mid-80s:
[I'm fairly certain the lyrics were something like this:]

But it's much too late for goodbye
I'm pretty sure there were harmonica or saxophone parts to it that really made it stand out !.!.!. and it feels like it was right in the mid 80s, or earlier that decade!.
