In 1984 I was 22, years young! My roommate & I were both into every single "Journey" song they made! In fact, she was a little bit of a "Fanatic-Fan" moreso; than I was!. But, anything by Journey was really BIG-LiKE HUGE in the 80s!! Air Supply, was popular, so were the Stones, Still!. ELO=Electric Light Orchestra, were still pretty popular even in the "80s" then!. I have to say my favorite song in those days, was by "Journey" and it was: "When The Lights Go Down In The City", I totally forgot if that's really the title, or not its been so many years! And U2 was also making their debut around the "80s" and one of their big hits for me, was "With or Without You", I really liked that song in those days!. But, I was a big HUGE fan of Oldies, since I was a kid, and in the "70s" "80s", "90", and even up to date, NOWaDays as well!.!! I just love the "Oldies", The Motown Sound, was really a big deal to myself and everyone I hung out with! We all grew-up on the Motown Sound!! The Temptations, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Stylistics, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, oh my Gosh you name it we listened to it, danced to it, and got drunk to the good old, "Oldies!!" Oh Man! I'm a DJ since 1978 and the year 1984 was 'the most experimental time in MY music years'!. THere were so many styles coming all-at-once and so much new music!. Out of my collection of just remixes, over a third are from 1984! Out of my regual albums, about a quarter of them are!. That was just a great year to be a fan of music!. So now you're asking me to narrow it down to just one!. I could give you a list of literally 1000 that were great and I have a different story for each one!. But I won't do that!.
