I have to go with the Edge here!.!.!. and to me it is not even close!. The Edge, almost flying under the radar, is regarded as one of the best guitarists of his generation!. I have seen U2 live and I also saw U23D at IMAX and I can tell you that the Edge controls the entire U2 performance with the soundscape that he creates!. REM is artsy and lyrical, but I don't think that anyone has ever singled out any member of REM for being singular in their musicianship!. I mean take away Michael Stipe and they would sound like the Gin Blossoms!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
