Who thinks the way Pantera ended and went out was sad?!

Question: Who thinks the way Pantera ended and went out was sad!?
let’s face it, Pantera was a metal empire!. they were tight musically and emotionally, they were all like brothers!. until Phil started slipping with the heroin issues, and then his near-death experience from his overdose!. their last days together were in the tour of 2001 where the band was suffering from extreme lack of communication and hard feelings!. then 911 happened and that was the end of Pantera!. then there was the 2 year drought with vinnie and dimebag where dimebag fell into a deep depression, the comment from Phil about wanting dimebag to be “severely beaten!.” and when finally dimebag and vinnie got back their feet with damage plan the tragic death and murder of dimebag!. I still get choked up when I think about it!. then there was the whole thing about Phil flying out to be at the dimebags funeral and was forbidden and unwelcome to be there!. so the collapse of Pantera, Sad!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Very sad!.!.!.egos erupt into massive heated disparity!.!.!.and then psychos w/ bullets wanna charge the stage in some psychotic episode of glory!.!.!. bang, the death of a legend!. Vinnie Paul was here in October with his new sh-it!.!.!.The Hell Yeas!.!.!.he interviewed on our local Metal Works show (community access)!.!.!.he yalked about Dimebag and the soul searching he had to do to start playing again!. He said Dimebag was his inspiration to keep on rockin'!.!.!.cool!.
I saw Pantera 3x or so back in the late 80's and early 90's at this little club called The Showcase (Where I got jumped at GWAR)!. It was back in the day when Phil had one m-fckin' high as-s mohawk!. Those were good times!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It is really sad if you consider the heroin issues and finally the murder!.But what is also sad is that they couldn't cooperate even though they were good friends!.
It's a pity they are not a band anymore!.I like their songs (especially Cemetery Gates, which is one of my favourites) and I think they're great!Www@Enter-QA@Com

yup real sad story there=[ cuz they really were a great band and all that turm oil was not needed, and the fact that dimebad died the way he did makes it a whole lot worse!.also i watched this documentry on them not 2 long ago and it was sad in the end cuz they showed actual footage of dimebags death at there concert!.so yup i agree with u!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Alcoholism and drugs have ruined many a talented band that we have never heard!. Pantera just managed to carry it a bit farther!.

When I saw them live, Phil was staggering drunk onstage, calling for more tumblers of whisky!. Dimebag mainly stayed off to the side and was excellent!.

Many bands fail before they start!. Pantera at least made a few CDs after giving up Glam Rock!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I dont care how much people want to blame it on Phil, but it's obvious he cared for Dime!.
It's ****** up that he was unwelcomed at the funeral cause all those guys were basically brothers!.
But yeah it's always sad when a band breaks up and then all chances of reuniting are destroyed by ******* murderWww@Enter-QA@Com

Well it was an odd strange of events, unfortunate-- definitely!. But I cry more about Ozzy's leaving of Black Sabbath, or Tarja's leaving of Nightwish then Pantera!.

What's actually worse is that Avenged Sevenfold has done a cover of "Walk" (TERRIBLE), and is planning to do the same with Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath!

Run and flee!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes it was definitely sad for me!. If it wasn't for Phil's addiction, they should be alive until now, and Dimebag shouldn't be dead!. I really miss them and I love the band so much!. I hate those drugs!. It has ruined many lives and many things!.

R!.I!.P!. Dimebag DarrellWww@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah a very sad ending!. I have all of their 90's albums and do miss the talent and dedication they had as a band!. They aren't the first band to break up with a lot of animosity, but it is a shame they never got the chance to work it out!. Dimbag deserved better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The way things went down at the end really make you wonder what could have been had it not been for all the problems the band had!. When they were on their game they were one of the best live shows around!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Of course it is!.!.!. The question is who doesn't think it is sad because that would be f##ked up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes its really sad!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i watched that vh-1 special as well!.!.!.!.!.!.very sad!. RIP dimeWww@Enter-QA@Com

yeah it was sad!.!.!. but at least Panteras legacy is set in stone!. It was meant to be, what if that **** didn't happen and they ended up like Metallica, at least pantera never disappointed us!.!.!.!.!.On another note I saw Down last year and phill looked great, it was an amazing show ( he didn't even rant ) Hell yeah seems to be doing good too!. So all is well !. Panteras legacy will never die! All is well! ( keep in mind "someone" being crazy and depressed about pantera is the reason the music world lost dime ) So keep it Metal! Jam to Pantera! Quit getting choked up all is well and goodWww@Enter-QA@Com
